Two Grades, No Exceptions

Cargo Worthy and One Trip. Both are wind and water tight. What we don't sell is the “WWT” sales grade, because it isn't a certification — it's a word.

You Approve Before It Ships

Our driver photographs your actual container at the depot. It doesn't leave until you've seen it and said yes.

Delivered and Placed

Experienced CDL drivers position the container where you want it. Not dropped at the curb.

Straight Timelines

7 to 10 business days from purchase. We'd rather give a date we can hold than one that sounds better.

What We Sell · Prices Updated Monday

20 FT and 40 FT Containers

Two certified grades, seven configurations. One Trip units come in Beige (RAL 1015) or Slate Grey (RAL 7015) — Slate Grey is our premium finish at $300 more. Cargo Worthy color varies by unit.

20 FT Containers

40 FT Containers

Every 40 FT we sell is a High Cube — a full extra foot of interior height for the same footprint on your lot.

How It Works

Containers in Three Easy Steps!

Get a Delivered Price

Pick your container and enter your ZIP. You see the container price and the delivery cost separately — before you talk to anyone.

Approve Your Actual Unit

Your container is photographed at the depot and the photos are sent to you. Nothing moves until you say yes. If something is wrong, we swap it out — it doesn't leave the depot until it's a unit we're comfortable putting our name behind.

Delivered and Placed

A CDL driver sets it where you want it, not at the curb. Order today, delivered by 7–10 business days.

Before You Order

Measure Your Space First

The single most common reason a delivery can't be completed. These figures appear on every invoice we issue — the standard we work to, not an estimate.

ContainerClear space in frontTotal space

40 FT90 FT130 FT

Both sizes need 12 FT of width along the entire path in and 16 FT of overhead clearance — mind the branches and power lines. Surface must be hard-packed and level. Tight turn to get in? Add more room.

The Grade Question

Why Don't We Sell “WWT” Containers?

To be clear first: every container we sell is wind and water tight. Rain stays out, wind stays out — on our Cargo Worthy units and our One Trip units alike.

What we don't sell is the sales grade the industry calls “WWT.” That label isn't a certification. There's no inspection behind it and no standard it has to meet, so any seller can stick it on any container.

Cargo Worthy is different. It's certified: the container passed inspection for structural integrity and is approved for international shipping. One Trip has made a single voyage from the factory.

Those are the only two grades we carry, and both are certified.

The one “WWT” unit we sold. Weathertight, technically. Certified against a structural standard, no.

Common Questions

Answers Before You Ask

How Much Does a Shipping Container Cost?

Current pricing for every container we sell is published on our containers page, with delivery and sales tax listed separately.

We update those prices every Monday. Container prices genuinely move week to week with supply and demand, steel costs, ocean freight rates and wider global economic conditions, so a figure quoted a month ago is often out of date.

Checking on a Monday gets you the freshest number. Anything you see on the containers page is what we are charging that week, and your written quote locks it in.

What Is the Difference Between Cargo Worthy and One Trip?

One Trip containers have made a single voyage from the factory. Factory paint, clean floors, intact door seals. They are the closest thing to new you can buy, with lashing scuffs at most, and you choose the color.

Cargo Worthy is a certified used grade. The container has been in service for years and passed a survey confirming it is structurally sound and fit to carry cargo internationally. Expect surface rust, dents and patched paint. Expect a sound roof, working door gear and no holes. Color varies and cannot be chosen.

Both are certified grades. The practical difference is appearance and lifespan, not integrity.

How Much Room Do I Need for Shipping Container Delivery?

A 20 FT container needs 60 FT of clear straight space in front of the placement spot, about 80 FT total including the truck. A 40 FT needs 90 FT in front, about 130 FT total.

Both sizes also need 12 FT of width along the entire path in and 16 FT of overhead clearance. The surface has to be hard packed and level.

These figures come off our own invoices, not an estimate. A tilt bed truck slides the container off the back while pulling forward, and that motion is why the numbers are what they are. If you have a tight turn to get in, add more room.

How Long Does Shipping Container Delivery Take?

7 to 10 business days from purchase.

Here is why it is not faster: depots release containers on their own schedule and they operate Monday through Friday only. Nobody in this market can reliably beat that, whatever their website says.

We would rather give you a date we can hold than one that sounds better and slips.

How Do I Know You Are Not a Shipping Container Scam?

Fair question, and you should be asking it. Container fraud is a real and well documented problem, usually run through fake listings with prices well below market and a demand for wire transfer or gift cards.

Protect yourself with four questions any legitimate seller can answer in writing: what grade is it, can I see photos of the actual unit before it ships, can I have the CSC plate details, and can I have a written itemized quote.

Ours are on Google under Matafied Containers, from real customers with real names, every one answered. We are a registered California LLC and our W-9 is downloadable from this site. Anyone who will not answer those questions in writing is telling you something.
